Taking Back an Unused Space
Oak Park Attic Rehab
Working alongside Christopher Bremer, of Compass Architecture, we took what was once a drafty, unused attic space in a 100-year-old home, and transformed it into a light-filled, clean and modern stunner of a bonus room that gives a family of five in Oak Park a little elbow room.
Before: A dusty, out of use attic with no light, water damage and rotting wood. The space had never been finished and was only used for storage. The under-insulated top floor was releasing heat in the winter and AC in the summer – wasting not only space but also money and resources.
